This one is for students who kept going. Through pressure. Through real life. Tell your story in your own voice. Let people hear what matters to you.

Open to DeKalb 11th and 12th graders
Video submission (1-5 min depending on grade)
Choose a prompt and speak your truth
Winners announced live at the Summit

Who is this event for? DeKalb County 11th and 12th grade students (city and county schools) and their parents or guardians.
Does it cost anything to come? No. This is a free event, but you do need to register.
What if a student is still figuring things out? That’s okay. This night is for students with a plan and students who are still deciding.
What will parents and guardians get out of this? Real information, honest conversations, and support to help guide what comes next.
Will scholarship winners be announced? Yes. Breaking Barriers Scholarship winners will be announced live at the Summit.
Do I need to register before coming? Yes. Registration is required to attend.
